The GV-1 viewfinder is a high-precision optical viewfinder with no electronic transmission of the viewfinder image, covering approximately 90% of the field of view of the lens. It has a frame mark corresponding to the focal lengths of 28 mm and 21 mm (equivalent to the angle of view of the 35 mm format).

It is a popular accessory, and is particularly suitable for classic image composition, or when strong light interferes with the camera display.

By attaching it to the accessory shoe, there is no interference or vignetting of the lens barrel. Only when using lens attachments will there be restrictions on the viewfinder image.
