3. Folder Display by Date
The ability to display folders by shooting date during playback has been added. *Folders are not actually created by shooting date. By moving the cursor to a specific date and pressing the Delete button, you can delete all images taken on that date.
4. Multiple RAW Development
This new feature allows RAW development of multiple images at once. When thumbnail images are displayed on the playback screen, selecting “RAW Development” displays only images that can be RAW developed, allowing you to select multiple images and develop them at once. When folders are displayed by date, selecting “RAW Development” allows you to develop all the images in the folder at once.
5. Electronic Level Designs
Two new types of Electronic Level designs for shooting have been added. You can select from three types: Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3. The design of the Electronic Level displayed during shooting can be selected from three types. Sample display images of the Electronic Level Type1 Type2 Type3

"0.3m" snapshot distance is available. This allows you to take quick snapshots of subjects at a closer distance. The "0.3m" option has been added to the "Focus Settings" and "Snap Focus Distance" menu. The shooting distance set here is reflected in [Snap Distance Priority Mode], [Full Press Snap], and [Snap] focus mode.

A new exposure mode, “Snap Distance Priority Mode” has been installed. By setting the snapshot distance and depth of field (DOF) in advance, you can instantly recall the setting. DOF3, in particular, sets the f-stop so that the depth of field is close to pan-focus, allowing you to enjoy faster shooting.
[Snap Distance Priority] is added in the “Shooting Settings” menu.
2. Focus mode “Auto-area AF (Center)"
Auto-area AF (Center)” has been added to the the Focus. Auto-area AF works around the center of the frame (9 areas) instead of the entire frame. This prevents the camera from focusing on unintended areas such as the ground in front of you, allowing you more control of your street snaps.
[Auto-area AF (Center)] is added to the options for [Focus] in the “Focus Settings” menu.
3. Others
- "Enable AF” has been added to the Shutter Button Setting. It is now possible, when the shutter button is pressed halfway, only the AF is locked without locking the AE.

RICOH GRIII (V1.50)

1. Program Line “DOF Priority (Deep)"
A new Program Line [DOF Priority (Deep)] is available. This is a Program Line that maintains priority for a smaller aperture (F8.0) when shooting in the program mode. It widens the depth of field and enables you to easily take pan-focus shots when combined with the [Snap] setting in the focus mode.
2. “Face/Eye Detection” autofocus
Autofocus based on eye detection has been newly added to the conventional “Face Detection”. When focusing on a face or eyes, they will be displayed in a frame. It is enabled during shooting with [Auto-area AF], [Select AF], or [Pinpoint AF]. It is also possible to set it to function only during shooting with [Auto-area AF]. You can fix the autofocus frame depending on the subject even when prioritizing people by simply changing the focus mode without turning “Face/Eye Detection” on and off.
3. Evolved image editing
Addition of aspect ratios 4:3 and 16:9 to “Cropping” in the playback menu. In addition to the existing aspect ratios 3:2 and 1:1, you can now crop images using the aspect ratios 4:3 and 16:9. It is also possible to rotate images to adjust subtle tilts. You can crop images after rotating them by up to ±45° in increments of 0.1°. Addition of monotone editing to “Base Parameter Adj” in the playback menu. You can change JPEG color images to monotone. Further adding unique adjustments to monotone images using “Filter Effect” and “Toning” allows you to also enjoy more creative expression.
4. More convenient experience with RAW Development
- Selecting “Continue” after RAW Development enables you to continue developing the same RAW data after taking over the applied settings.
- The preview display time of applied setting changes for such as Image Control has been reduced.
5. Transferring images with “Auto Resize”
You can now use the smart device app [Image Sync] to automatically resize the captured image size to XS and transfer it.
