01.09.23 - Introduction new RICOH GR III Diary Edition Special Limited Kit

RICOH IMAGING COMPANY, LTD. is pleased to announce the launch of the RICOH GR III Diary Edition Special Limited Kit. This special package is built around the RICOH GR III high-end digital compact camera featuring a metallic, warm-gray finish. Available in the limited quantity of just 2,000 units worldwide, it includes exclusive, specially designed accessories, including: a genuine-leather finger strap, identical in color with the camera body; a ring cap and a metallic hot shoe cover, both finished in a natural silver color; and a camera case made of exclusive sailcloth.

The RICOH GR III Diary Edition differs from the basic GR III in the following features:

Warm grey metallic finish The camera body is finished with an exclusive metallic finish in a warm grey color. The metallic look and surface texture have been designed to enhance the feeling of reliability and quality and to ensure a firm grip of the camera body. The housing design gives the camera a look that is not so much reminiscent of the typical black cameras, but rather emphasises the character of a lifestyle product through the high-quality housing with a warm color tone.
The rubber grip offers a contrast with its dark brown surface and forms a unit with the camera body. To underline the noble appearance, the lens ring and the hot shoe cover are silver, which underlines the feeling of quality and exclusivity of the camera.

Exclusive engraving service for the hot shoe cover The silver-coloured hot shoe cover will be engraved with a special engraving on customer request after purchase. You can choose between the lettering "Diary Edition" or an individual engraving, which can be configured when ordering the camera and will be delivered accordingly with a delivery time after production.

Genuine leather finger strap The short genuine leather finger strap is color-coordinated with the warm grey of the camera. Its special and reduced design facilitates the storage and transport of the camera and offers safety when using the camera. The thoughtful design and careful stitching have been created with great attention to detail, adding to the feeling of exclusivity.

Canvas case The unbleached canvas case is also included as an exclusive accessory. It comes with a genuine leather clasp, the material of which is identical to that of the finger strap. The canvas material was chosen because it becomes more and more individual and attractive over the years of use due to the patina and traces of use that develop.

New color film picture mode With the RICOH GR III Diary Edition, there is now a new "Colour Negative Film" mode. Based on the visual effects created only by negative film, this modus creates an exquisite balance between rich colors and a slight color cast often found on prints from negative film.
*This mode will also be available on the GR III and GR IIIx series models with an upcoming update to the firmware.

Enhanced shutdown graphic The shut-off graphic is designed in line with the housing design, featuring an embossed logo against a texture and color scheme that matches the surface of the housing. As a new feature, which will also be available for the existing GR III and GR IIIx models via firmware update, the power-off graphic provides additional information. In addition to the current daily frame counter, the total number of frames and the firmware version number are now displayed.

The RICOH GR III Diary Edition Special Limited Kit should be available in January 2023 in Ricoh GR Webshop only.

The RICOH GR III Diary Edition (camera body only, without the genuine-leather hand strap, ring cap, metallic hot shoe cover or the sailcloth case) is also scheduled to be launched in the spring of 2023 as standard product.
